--- APRIL 13, 2007 ---

Tiburon is pleased to announce the confirmed attendee list for its upcoming CEO Summit XII. The meeting will be held April 18-19, 2007 in San Francisco, CA. Over 100 senior executives from Tiburon’s almost 300 clients will participate in this unique opportunity for a select cross-industry group to discuss a broad swath of issues regarding the future of the brokerage, investment, advice, and wealth management businesses. Tiburon’s CEO Summits likely provide the only true forum where financial service industry CEOs from across traditional silos gather to discuss business opportunities

Tiburon Strategic Advisors, a market research & strategy consulting firm serving a wide variety of financial institutions and investment managers, is pleased to announce the confirmed attendees at its upcoming CEO Summit XII that will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco, CA April on 18-19, 2007. Due to incredible demand from a large number of its executive-level clients to attend its CEO Summits, Tiburon has moved to the Ritz Carlton hotel. Four long-time Tiburon clients, Fiserv, Genworth Financial, Morningstar, and Pershing offered financial support in this move allowing an additional 25 executives to attend. Tiburon is grateful for this assistance.

Tiburon's CEO Summits encourage open dialog through dynamic presentations, panel discussions, and break-out sessions facilitated by members of the CEO Summit Planning Committee. Tiburon's research serves as the foundation for the meetings and all participants share views openly. Details regarding the agenda, attendee list, and other items can be found in the Upcoming CEO Summit section of Tiburon's web site.

Executive Attendance

Tiburon CEO Summit XII is limited to 100 attendees, all of them executive-level Tiburon clients. Attendees include executives from banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies, mutual fund companies, separate account managers, CPA firms, law firms, technology companies, and successful financial advisory firms.

Attendees at Tiburon CEO Summit VI in San Francisco, CA listen intently to a general session speaker

More specifically, there are two specific attendee policies:

  • Seniority: Tiburon is making a big effort to limit attendance to the CEOs and leading strategy makers from its client companies. Most attendees have C level titles (CEOs, COOs, CFOs); a handful are executive vice presidents leading core business units and/or internal business strategy groups
  • Clients: Since Tiburon hosts the events, it is economic reality that the group must be limited to senior executives who have previously benefited from Tiburon's research-based strategy work

Attendees at Tiburon's CEO Summits have agreed to openly share non-proprietary insights about their own and other business models. Broad participation of all attendees is necessary for success. In short, attendees agree to:

  • Present and/or serve on panels, leading and/or participating in discussions, openly sharing insights on business models to the extent comfortable
  • Propose and take the initiative to invite other executive level attendees from Tiburon client companies to future Summits
  • Propose and take the initiative to invite CEO-level guest speakers to future Summits

Media Attendence

In addition to the senior executives in attendance, Tiburon invites select media representatives to attend Tiburon’s CEO Summits. Tiburon is happy to have media representatives attend its CEO Summits and spread the word about challenging conventional wisdom and maintaining a consumer orientation. But that said, frank and open conversations will win out every time over media coverage.
