The Tiburon consulting team brings a balance of industry experience, consulting skills, and research aptitude to all client projects. The firm works extensively with executives at banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies, mutual fund companies, separate account managers, and related technology companies.

Managing Principal
Tiburon's Managing Principal Charles ("Chip") Roame learned and developed the firm's consulting methodologies while employed at leading management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, adapted them to specifically serve the financial services marketplace, and then most recently before forming Tiburon, applied them as a business strategist at The Charles Schwab Corporation. Since 1998, Chip has had responsibility for all of Tiburon's consulting, research, and marketing activities.

Other Principals
Tiburon is now actively seeking to add additional principals who can build complimentary businesses within the firm's existing business, leveraging the extensive research, client relationships, brand, and infrastructure that Tiburon has built over the past ten years. As Tiburon's managing principal focuses more on running the firm and driving its research agenda, Tiburon expects these other principals to lead most client engagements. Consulting Staff
Tiburon's consulting staff is critical to its success. The firm is actively seeking additional research and marketing managers to add to its team. Research managers conduct the majority of the research (e.g., web site reviews, news searches, financial advisor interviews, etc.) that underlies both Tiburon client documents and research reports. Research managers also have direct responsibility for writing Tiburon research reports. Marketing managers lead specific functions to share Tiburon's research and maintain contact with Tiburon clients, prospects, and media relationships.

Executive Programs
In addition to its full-time consulting staff, Tiburon also has three established Executive Programs called CEOs-in-Residence, FA Roundtable, and Consulting Fellows. Tiburon established these three programs to add additional value to its clients. Tiburon's CEOs-in-Residence are former CEOs of financial services companies; many of them are retired Tiburon clients. These executives are extremely helpful in bringing additional senior level insights to Tiburon clients and applying Tiburon research in executive counseling roles. Tiburon's FA Roundtable is made up of practicing financial advisors who have strategic views of the industry and seek to add value to Tiburon's clients. These financial advisors are particularly useful in distribution projects for mutual funds and other product companies. Tiburon's Consulting Fellows are other industry consultants who have particular areas of expertise that Tiburon feels can be helpful to Tiburon clients. Tiburon has worked extensively with all of the fellows and is prepared to involve them in any Tiburon project; many can play critical roles in the implementation phases of Tiburon's strategic consulting projects.
