Skip & Chip's Excellent Adventure 7.0:
South Central Alaska, August 5-9, 2018

Skip & Chip's Execellent Adventure 6.0 was co-led by Tiburon Managing Partner Chip Roame and Tiburon client Skip Schweiss (President, TD Ameritrade Trust Company) on July 9-13, 2017 in Kauai. While on Skip & Chip's Excellent Adventure 6.0, the group hiked the Kalalau Trail in-and-out for a total of 22 miles & kayaked the seventeen miles along the Napali Coast. Skip & Chip's Excellent Adventure 7.0 will be the seventh in the series of adventures, in which participants have reached the tops of Mount Whitney & Mount Shasta, traversed the Grand Canyon, summited Half Dome in Yosemite, and completed both the Kalalau Trail in Kauai & the Four Pass Loop outside of Aspen, CO. The annual outing combines a challenging outdoor adventure with a fun weekend together. Mexico, January 15-16, 2019

Tiburon Impact Adventure 3.0 will be the third in a series Tiburon Impact Adventures which are intended to connect first world finance with developing world needs. Tiburon Impact Adventure 2.0 was co-led by Tiburon Managing Partner Chip Roame and Tiburon clients Scott Hanson (Co-CEO, Hanson McClain) & Craig Wietz (President, First Rate). Twenty or so group members built and fully furnished a home for a family in need in San Antonio Del Mar, Mexico on January 27-28, 2018. Tiburon Impact Adventure 1.0 had been led by Tiburon Managing Partner Chip Roame and Tiburon clients Ben Cukier (Managing Partner, Centana Growth Partners), Scott Hanson (Co-CEO, Hanson McClain), & Aaron Klein (CEO, Riskalyze) in Ethiopia on January 15-18, 2017. That group raised over $100,000 for the construction of a fifth through eighth grade classroom building in the village of Adami Tulu.

Marketing & Administration Coordinator:

Tiburon is currently looking for an experienced Marketing & Administration Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and responsive team player who can support current marketing and administrative needs. This role can be part- or full-time, with morning hours being critical. A job share could also possibly work. Office is located in downtown Tiburon, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones, greet guests, check voicemails, and respond to clients’ needs 
  • Present professional business demeanor over the telephone and in person
  • Collect and distribute mail, manage inventory & order supplies, and manage office vendors
  • Post job openings, assist new employees with employee paperwork, train new employees on office technology, and collect payroll timesheets & contractor invoices
  • Assist in managing the firm’s contacts database in Salesforce
  • Participate in inbound and outbound service & sales efforts (including preparing managing partner for calls)
  • Assist in managing the firm’s substantial online presence through its weekly research releases, web site updates, & social media efforts.
  • Assist with other marketing projects as necessary, including numerous steps related to semi-annual Tiburon CEO Summits
  • Support managing partner with scanning & other general administration tasks

Requirements

  • Two or more years of marketing & administration work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint 
  • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills; ability to manage oneself in a fast-paced working environment and meet multiple deadlines with limited supervision
  • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems
  • Experience in professional services firm (e.g., management consulting firm, private equity firm) and experience with Salesforce is a plus

Production & Administration Assistants:

Tiburon is currently looking for three production assistants. Core responsibilities are to deliver three PowerPoint assignments per day. PowerPoint completion includes making noted additions & enhancements, completing research & printing assignments, publishing all document parts to the Tiburon web site, confirming that all parts’ links work, delivering a complete printed package to the managing partner, and sending the executive summary to the managing partner. More experienced members of the team should be able to complete three or more PowerPoint assignments per day and also add more value in research.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit and format PowerPoint presentations daily
  • Support with scanning, managing partner assistance, and other general administration tasks

Requirements

  • Two or more years of administrative or relevant work experience with market research firms 
  • Intermediate skills and experience with MS Office applications required
  • Ability to learn quickly and using systems and tools/technology
  • Organized and able to multi-task while juggling deadlines in a fast-paced working environment
  • An excellent writer / speller / proofreader with exceptional attention to detail
  • Very good communication abilities
  • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
  • Must be able to work in our Tiburon office
